These benefits are typically reserved for Class 1 Active Members. Contract Negotiations
The DSA is the bargaining unit representing San Diego County Sheriff’s Deputies to the County of San Diego. Find the latest MOA/MOU below.
Donations (Individual & Team)
The DSA reimburses members up to $150 individually and $1,000 per team annually for sporting and/or charity events. Use the button below to complete our donation request form.
Retirement Benefit
Upon retirement, you will recieve a cash benefit dependent on the amount of time served. Use the button below to complete our retirement packet to be eligible for this benefit.
Employee Relations Assistance
The DSA is here to assist with employee issues in the workplace. While not all situations may be grievable, the DSA will work with members to address each situation.
Events

Legal Defense
The DSA operates its own Legal Defense Program (LDP) with the law firm of Bobbitt, Pinckard & Fields, APC as counsel for the program. Use the button below to reach out to our LDP Director for assistance.
Memorial Trip Lottery
Each winter, 5 National Memorial trips and 10 State Memorial trips are given away, lottery-style. Keep an eye out for more info in the member newsletter or use the button below to check our events page.
Notary Services
The DSA offers free Notary Public services to all members. Please call or use the button below to book an appointment with one of our many notaries on site.
Retiree Medical Trust
The Retiree Medical Trust enables you to use pre-tax funds contributed throughout your career to pay for medical care after you retire. Use the button below to learn more.
Scholarships
The DSA offers 15 memorial scholarships to member and member dependents each year through our foundation. Scholarships open in January. Use the button below to get more information.
