Registration is now open for the 2022 Deputy Sheriffs' Memorial Golf Tournament

Every May, National Police Week is observed as an annual event that holds immense significance for law enforcement officers. Our department, along with law enforcement agencies across the country, will participate in various ceremonies to pay tribute to the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice. It also serves as a reminder of the inherent dangers that come with our profession.  In 2022 alone, California suffered 11 line of duty deaths, while the nation mourned 226 federal, state, tribal, and local law enforcement officers.

The DSA is proud to be able to assist in sending deputies to both the state and national memorials to pay our respects and honor our fallen brothers and sisters who were taken from us while serving their communities.  This serves as a constant reminder to spend quality time with our loved ones, as they also share the burden and stress that we bring home from our jobs.  It’s essential to take the time to thank them for their support and sacrifice, letting them know how special they are to us.

On September 18th, the DSA will host our annual Memorial Golf Tournament at Morgan Run Club & Resort.   This event is not only a fun day out, but it will also raise money for the Deputy Sheriffs’ Foundation, which provides relief and support to San Diego County deputy sheriffs and the communities we serve.  Please save the date and if you are interested in volunteering, please email info@dsasd.org. Tickets will be available for purchase starting in July.

As always, remember to stay safe and take care of each other.  Together we can continue to honor the legacy of our fallen heroes while serving and protecting our communities.
