ACTIVE MEMBERS
This year, the DSA’s open enrollment period for Class 1 Active members is October 1-29. Benefit changes made during this open enrollment period are effective January 1, 2022 and will be in effect through December 31, 2022. Please watch your mailbox, as enrollment materials, including rates and benefit plans, will be mailed to all Class 1 Active members around October 1.
The PPO and HMO Dental and MetLife Legal Plans premiums will increase slightly. The dental and vision benefits will remain the same for plan year 2022.
If you are not making changes to your existing dental, vision, or legal coverage through the DSA, you do not need to complete any DSA enrollment forms.
Effective January 1, 2022, the DSA is implementing additional MetLife Legal Plan benefits. Enrollees will continue to have access to legal advice and services for a wide range of personal legal matters, including court appearances, document review and preparation, debt collection defense, wills, family, and real estate matters.
Starting January 1, 2022, anyone enrolled in the MetLife Legal Plan benefit will also have access to experienced attorneys to help with identity management, establishing guardianship or conservatorship, and review of a second or vacation home equity loan or refinance. Enrolled members will be eligible for four (4) hours of attorney services for non-covered matters.
